How and why we do what we do
We're three developers who are frighteningly passionate about the code we write. We met years ago while working for a large newspaper group, and while we've since gone our separate ways in our days jobs, we continue to work together on the stuff we find interesting. We like to work with forward thinking clients with cool ideas. There are also a few of our own ideas we're working on, but more on that later.

For my entire career I’ve been a creator. First it was music, then print, and then I wrote my first line of code. That was my outlet. With music, I was always a better writing partner, than a writer. Print design was far too static to fall in love with. But in the code world, almost anything is possible, and because it’s tangible the goal can be as clear as you want it to be.
My artistic tendencies naturally led me to client side development, and now I get my kicks playing with stuff like jQuery, SASS (CSS for big kids), and of course a little bit of Ruby to keep it interesting. I also really dig typography, texture, and great writing. All three are incredibly subtle and complex art forms.
Full disclosure: I like to play devil’s advocate a lot. This happens from the technical side, the business side, and the visual side. It’s a gift.

As a proud graduate of The Ohio State University with a Journalism degree, I had grand dreams of becoming the greatest columnist in the world. With that said, I found myself working at a newspaper – in advertising sales (ugh).
Anyway, while slogging along in sales, I was fortunate enough to jump on the development team that saw the advent of ajc.com and its classifieds site. From there, a developer was born.
In the years that followed, I’ve been part of both the front and back end development that has grown ajc.com and its entities into a billion page view (or something like that) site. Along the way, I’ve also had the good fortune of working on cool projects outside the ajc umbrella.
I guess the point in all this is that I’ve been doing this stuff for a good minute.
